Castra Retirement Home
Castra Retirement Home is an integrated Aged Care Facility at Murgon, the "hub" of the diverse South Burnett Region of South East Queensland, just a 2 - 3 hour drive from major coastal centres and Brisbane.
Castra offers quality aged care with a 32 bed facility. Residents are offered a private room with an ensuite shared with one other room. Several rooms have private ensuites.

The facility also includes Independent Living Units which are adjacent to the facility. Castra is surrounded by manicured, well maintained grounds and gardens, it is conveniently located and accessible to all services and facilities.
Castra offers the opportunity for a unique quality of life with a full time Diversional Therapist arranging a varied programme of activities to suit all interests.
Services Provided
The personal needs of all residents are attended to by caring and well trained personnel. Staff are on site 24 hours a day and an alarm system with central monitoring is installed in every room, and every independent living unit.
Murgon is well serviced for medical needs, with two doctors visiting in house fortnightly. A podiatrist also makes regular visits to the facility and hairdressers call every 3 weeks.
Castra offers the opportunity for a unique quality of life with a full time Diversional Therapist who arranges a variety of programmes and activities to suit all interests, even an exercise program.
Residents are encouraged to attend activities including: non denominational church services in the newly appointed Chapel, fellowship, indoor bowls, billiards, bingo, hoy, board games and craft are held in the recreation room.
The library in the residents lounge is stocked with a wide selection of large and small print books for the enjoyment and comfort of residents. Bus services for day care, shopping, and escorted day trips are provided.
